The new GS Audio IRON MK2 12"/30 cm is the evolution of the famous IRON model, designed to deliver even higher performance with continuous power handling up to 1250 W RMS, while maintaining compact dimensions ideal for daily-use car installations.

Like the previous model, the IRON 12 MK2 retains the same rugged and reliable construction, now further optimized for power, control and durability.

Main construction features:

• Magnet: 175 x 20 mm double ferrite magnet, total weight approx. 9 kg
• Voice coil: 3.2" 100% pure copper coil with 42 mm winding height for musical accuracy and excellent thermal management
• Cooling: Ventilated and cooled magnet assembly for high performance even under heavy stress
• Assembly: Professional bonding with two-component adhesive and screwed spider assembly for exceptional mechanical strength
• Surround: Elastic rubber surround for perfect pneumatic seal and long-term reliability
• Terminals: Nickel-plated brass 6 mm² spring terminals for stable, secure and low-resistance connections
• Dust cap: Highly rigid round carbon dust cap to increase cone stiffness and promote better coil cooling

The IRON 12" MK2 is currently available in a dual 2 Ω (2+2 Ω) version. This new model reaches a higher power level than its predecessor; updated T/S parameters and recommended enclosure designs are available in the official data sheet.

With a resonant frequency in the 36–37 Hz range, IRON subwoofers are perfect for everyday listening and especially for genres such as bass music and hip-hop. For fans of techno and high BPM tracks, we recommend reducing the suggested box width by about 10 cm and raising the tuning by 3–4 Hz to achieve a faster, tighter response.
